Christian Dailly
Did you know he has a first class honours degree in sports science?
He doesn't seem to have much contact with West Ham these days. Could be he doesn't like the way GSB run the club!

He was a good servant to the club,no doubt about that.
Let's hear your stories about him.

The bloke in charge of Blackburn Community work at the time CD was at West Ham told me CD was one of the few players who did any of the community visits etc with enthusiasm. Even at that time most players didn't give a ####.

Actually he said the other Jocks were all good too.

I don’t see how that can be an argument for a player, that’s his job.

Melville, please don’t remind me.

Did you really go to the trouble to look that match up? He did score though.

Re: Christian Dailly
And didn't he call the Germans 'fucking cheats' via a post-match interview once?
Seem to remember him going ballistic having been asked to take a drug test as he left the field following a victory at Craven Cottage.
Bit of a George Parris figure for me - largely rubbish but mostly got away with it because he gave a shit.

Spot on.

Had limitations, yes!

Did he shirk responsibility or go hiding during a game, no!!

The type of person you'd want in the trenches.

Re: Christian Dailly
I like Christian Dailly.

Despite some obvious limitations he was still a good player and he’d be in my team every week, a complete contrast to the absolute cunt that is Felipe Anderson.

Picked his two front teeth up when they were knocked out against Rotherham and got on with the game.

I like him

Re: Christian Dailly
One of my mates runs a chauffeur driven car service.

On one occasion he drove Christian Dailly and a couple of mates to the races and home afterwards. On the return journey one of Dailly's mates was in a bit of an alcoholic state so CD asked if my mate if he could stop off for his mate to be sick, drop both his mates at their houses and then finish by dropping CD home. My mate said that Dailly was a really nice fella and was apologetic about his mates drunkeness.

For his troubles Dailly gave my mate a £500 tip for going out of his way.

Norman, I’ll never forget Repka’s confused face when he got sent off on his debut and the crowd were clapping and cheering him off.
Still makes me smile to think about it.

Re: Christian Dailly
Repka was a liability but this fella was different gravy.
Repka was great
Being binned on debut is good kudos
sort of player that wouldn't bat an eyelid at the old baseball ground back in the day type of nutter.

Re: Christian Dailly

I saw him score the winner for Scotland v Lithuania in Kaunas in 2006. A memorable day that. Food at half time no a burger or pie in site. Just charcoal grilled pork kebab

Very memorable obviously, considering he didn't score the winner

alfs barnet 10:31 - Still remember that game at home when we were passing the ball around and every player was getting cheered, then it went to Dailly and everyone booed.
We started singing the Dailly song then it caught on!

Dailly was full on, 200% commitment, once you accepted he was pretty rubbish you had to appreciate that!

Christian will be +/- pleased win that great Scottish win on penalties.

Re: Christian Dailly
TopGun 6.18 Dailly and Melville gives me bigger nightmares

He was a trier and gave his all, but that's the minimum requirement for any player, he didn't play much after the play off final in 2004, the subsequent two seasons we got promoted and then to the FA Cup Final

Re: Christian Dailly
I'll never forget him going back on the pitch at rotherham after the match to pick his teeth up of the ground.

Never question why he deserved the love he got from the fans.
